Your dining experience at Bowood House Hotel starts right from the time you walk into the gorgeous building. With the grand and exuberant decor, to the warm, friendly and efficient staff, it’s all part of the package and I promise that you’ll love the food.
We were invited by the Bowood House Hotel for an evening meal earlier this week and I decided to do a blogpost because I wanted to share in detail how wonderful our experience was.
First of all, they impressed me with a fabulous vegetarian and vegan menu instead of just one vegetarian option that you see in most restaurants. Being a vegetarian I always find myself out of choice but at Bowood I was spoilt for choice because they have a unique selection of creatively presented food.
The aesthetics of the place are marvellous, our table was close to the huge glass doors that overlooked the golf course and the beautiful interiors just add to the charm and charisma of the place.
The servers are very attentive and friendly, was definitely a place I would take Ella again as visiting with a baby/toddler was no problem at all.
We started off with drinks and Lee ordered an Espresso Martini which is his favourite and I went for a glass of prossecco. There is a large drinks menu and a carefully curated wine and champagne list to choose from so you’ll have plenty of options for whatever you fancy. Both our drinks were perfect and just the right way to start the evening.
I loved the presentation of my starter and the Mango, Lime salsa was to die for. Lee’s salmon starter was healthy and delicious, you see they are a good combination of words when talking food.
I ordered a Butternut Squash and sweet potato curry for my main and it was without a doubt the most delicious curry I’ve had when eating out in the UK. The curry was bursting with flavours and being an Indian I know my spices well so I would highly recommend trying the curry even if you are a non vegetarian.
Lee ordered the Lamb main which he couldn’t stop appreciating with every bite.
Of course we went for pudding too haha. You have a tempting menu of desserts that’ll talk you into fulfilling your sweet cravings. Lee went for the pistachio parfait and I, a forever chocolate fan was compelled to pick the layered chocolate desserts. They were both very good choices and we loved both.
After our meal we wandered round the hotel admiring the decor and exploring, overall we loved our dining experience at Bowood House Hotel and cannot wait to go back for more.
