One day I would love to visit the Lavender Fields in Provence,Italy but for now I’m just in awe of this gorgeous Lavender Field in the UK, right at our doorstep in Cotswold. Last weekend we made a quick trip to the Cotswold Lavender farm on my mother-in-law’s recommendation and we loved our little day trip so I decided to do a little blog post giving you as much information as I can for you to plan a visit.
When to go?
The Lavender fields are generally open from May to Early August but they are in full bloom from June to early August after which the harvest begins, so the ideal time would be June to early August. The Cotswold Lavender farm is open from June to 5th August so if you haven’t been then you’ve still got a bit of time.
Where is it?
I’ve recently seen quite a few Lavender Farms in the UK feature in my Instagram Feed, this one we visited is in Snowshill and the exact address is : Hill Barn Farm Cottage, Snowshill WR12 7JY.
Things to Do
Lavender Fields make such a wonderful photography location, whether a baby birthday shoot, a wedding shoot or just a fun family shoot, go prepared with that white floral dress and a camera to snap some photos in the gorgeous fields.
Theres also a farm shop offering organic Lavender products to buy. The local cafe source delicious food and don’t miss out on the Lavender Chocolate Brownie to enhance your Lavender experience.
The tickets are fairly cheap and if you pay by cash then you can use the direct entry by the car park [ Ticket £4 pp], saves you the walk to the main entry.
I would advise wearing flat shoes, carrying a bottle of water and a hat when you are visiting because on a hot summer day it can get hot although it remains breezy through the open fields.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the post and do plan a visit this year or perhaps the next.
